Detoxification Food Plan:​​

A detox food plan focuses on eating plenty of nutrient dense, whole foods. Eating a variety of colorful, fresh, organic vegetables (9+ servings) and fruits (2 servings) during and after a detox is important because these foods contain phytonutrients and fiber, which helps neutralize and mobilize toxins out of the body.  Lean, high quality proteins are important because they provide amino acids which serve as building blocks in the body, needed for repair. Make sure to dramatically increase your water intake to help optimize elimination.

Lifestyle Changes:

  • Drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily (ex. if you weigh 150 lbs, drink 75 ounces or about 10 glasses of water a day).

  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, grains, processed foods and added sugars.

  • Limit dairy to organic grass fed and preferably fermented sources (fermented cottage cheese, fermented yogurt).
