An important aspect of health is optimizing the body's ability to clear out waste and toxins. We have several detox organs in the body including the liver, gut, kidneys, skin, lymphatic system.
In our every day life we are exposed to toxins from a variety of sources from our water and food to our personal care products and household cleaners. You can begin to reduce your exposure to environmental chemicals using the EWG's Healthy Living app.
Reducing your toxic exposure is one of the most powerful steps you can take to feel your best and make it easier for your body to function at the highest level.
In addition to reducing out exposure to toxins in our environment, we can also optimize the body's ability to detox using food and targeted nutritional and herbal supplements. Below we share with you important tips to help you optimize detoxification.
If you want to take your detox to the next level, consider one of our two 14 day detox programs - PaleoCleanse Plus or VegeCleanse Plus. When combined with a detox food plan and simple lifestyle changes, this program supports the body's ability to clear out toxins and restore balance.
If you have multiple chronic medical issues, we strongly suggest that you undertake a detox with the guidance of a provider. Call our office at 470-266-1380 for more information.
Detoxification Food Plan:
A detox food plan focuses on eating plenty of nutrient dense, whole foods. Eating a variety of colorful, fresh, organic vegetables (9+ servings) and fruits (2 servings) during and after a detox is important because these foods contain phytonutrients and fiber, which helps neutralize and mobilize toxins out of the body. Lean, high quality proteins are important because they provide amino acids which serve as building blocks in the body, needed for repair. Make sure to dramatically increase your water intake to help optimize elimination.
