Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelets are key factors in tissue repair within the body.  During your anti-aging skin care treatment we will draw your blood and spin it down to concentrate these growth factors.  We then apply the plasma to your skin through microchanneling or to your scalp through injections.

PRP treatments can boost the body's healing response to help reverse the signs of aging and other skin damage, as well as support hair regeneration.

Platelet Poor Plasma vs. Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Poor Plasma

Platelet Poor Plasma (PPP) is collected by drawing a person's blood into a plain tube and spinning it for a short time to separate the red blood cells from the plasma. The resulting plasma will contain platelets. The number of platelets that are in the plasma varies based on the speed and length of time the blood is spun and the method used to remove the plasma.

Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is collected by drawing blood into a special tube made specifically to obtain PRP.  The blood is spun for a defined amount of time, separating the red blood cells from the plasma.  Each PRP system has a specific protocol which has been tested to produce plasma with a high concentration of platelets and come with specialized tubes and centrifuge.
